Accessibility Statement

Seeger & Krämer GbR is committed to ensuring that the erleben.app website and the experience apps operated on the platform are accessible to all. This is based on the Accessibility Enhancement Act (BFSG), the European standard EN 301 549 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Conformity Level AA.

Scope

This statement applies to the erleben.app website, including the sample editor, as well as to the guest interface of the experience apps published via our platform. The respective provider is responsible for the content posted there (text, images, audio clips); the editor supports them in this by providing mandatory fields for alternative text and suggestions for image descriptions.

Status of compliance

The website and guest app are largely compliant with the specified requirements. Among other things, the following have been implemented:

a consistent heading structure and landmarks (header, main content, footer), as well as a skip-to-main-content link,
full keyboard accessibility with visible focus, including in tabs, accordions and the module library,
contrast ratios of at least 4.5:1 for text and 3:1 for control elements,
alternative text for content-bearing images; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology,
Text that can be enlarged to 200 per cent without content being cut off, and a font size setting in the guest app,
Movements and animations that are disabled when the ‘Reduce motion’ system setting is enabled,
Buttons and links with a minimum size of 44 by 44 pixels,
Language labelling of pages and subtitles or text transcripts for audio content, where provided by the provider.

Non-accessible content

The following areas currently have limited accessibility. We are working to improve them.

Interactive 3D models and 360-degree panoramas can only be explored to a limited extent using a keyboard or screen readers. The accompanying text conveys the content in words.
Maps (OpenStreetMap display in the example editor and in the apps) are of limited use to screen readers; the locations on a tour are also available as a list.
The embedded booking calendar (Cal.com) is provided by third-party software, over whose accessibility we have no full control. Alternatively, appointments can be arranged by telephone or email.
Games such as jigsaw puzzles, Memory or matching games require sight and fine motor skills; they are supplementary and never the sole means by which content is conveyed.
Content from client projects displayed in the module library may occasionally lack alternative text or captions.
