The editor for your places of interest: your knowledge counts, not the technology.
The platform stays out of the way.
Anyone who has looked after a mill for thirty years knows more about it than any agency. It is precisely this knowledge that goes into the app: your words, your photos, your voice. All the technology required for this is built in, so you don’t have to worry about it.
No sign-up needed: further down you create your first place of interest and see straight away how it reaches a guest.
Three steps to creating your own app.
Put your first place on the map, tell its story and choose the right modules. What you create here is already the start of your tour.
No account, no appointment, no activation. Start below and watch it take shape on the phone beside you. The draft stays in your browser. As soon as you add modules we get a copy, so we can help you carry on.
What is yours about?
Or click directly on the location on the map. The location search asks OpenStreetMap, nothing else.
Figures measured from your own system.
Like your content, all analytics run in ISO 27001-certified data centres in Germany. Your visitors stay anonymous, with no cookie prompt and no third-party trackers.
Campaigns become measurable
Every QR code, every leaflet, every press and social media post has its own entry point into the app. This means you can see in black and white which campaign brought in guests, when the peak periods were, and which channel is worth investing in. Next time, you can allocate your budget where it will have the greatest impact.
Figures that demonstrate success
We collect the figures ourselves instead of taking them from someone else's analytics. In the system you see which measures worked, and you have the numbers ready for the annual report and proof of use of funds.
Planning locations and times
When do your visitors arrive, where do they come from, and what language do they speak? Hourly visitor numbers, languages and entry points provide you with the answers you need for opening hours, guided tours and your next location. This allows you to plan for the coming season based on data and then check whether your plan has worked out.
The visitor statistics set no cookies and build no profiles. The app itself only uses technically necessary cookies, for example for the chosen language. These need no consent.
Save time with our AI assistants
Transcribing, recording voice-overs, describing images and translating take a lot of time. The assistants handle this routine work, so you have more time for the content itself.
The first sentence is the hardest
You have the knowledge and the sources, but it takes a whole afternoon to put it into words. Our system automatically generates a draft based on your keywords, which you can then shorten, refine and adapt linguistically.
An audio piece recorded without a sound studio
Audio guides require a voice-over fee, a recording session and post-production. We automatically turn your approved text into an audio track: either as a calm narrative voice or as a dialogue between two characters.
Guests who do not speak German
Write it once, make it available in up to eight languages. Make use of our automatic translation service, which also offers simple or child-friendly language options.
Making descriptions accessible
Not every exhibit still exists or is documented. From a description or a photo our system generates a rotatable 3D model that your visitors can look at from every side.
Accessibility, done properly
Our system automatically analyses your images and suggests a description for each one, including descriptions for screen readers. This ensures that your image captions meet the requirements of BITV 2.0. All you need to do is confirm.
Creating interactive experiences
Create quiz questions, puzzles and interactive language activities automatically from the chapter you’ve already written. This allows you to generate a knowledge assessment activity with just one click.
Technology suggests; you decide.
Only you can judge what belongs in your project and what is correct. The AI toolbox does the groundwork for you. You always stay in control of your data.
- Nothing appears without being checked
- Every suggestion appears as a draft in the editor, not in the app. Only what you approve is published, just as with everything you write yourself.
- The handwriting remains yours
- The suggestions follow your sources and your guidelines. Overwrite what doesn't fit and add what's missing.
- Optional, on request
- If you'd like to use the AI tools, get in touch. You don't need your own accounts with AI providers. Processing runs through us and is covered by the data processing agreement.
Your processes remain the same; the erleben.app system adapts to them.
Are you already using a system that we can build on? We’ve probably already got the right interface.
We have interfaces to many systems that museums, local authorities, associations and tourism organisations use every day. Through destination.one, for example, places, tours and restaurants including opening hours come straight from your existing data into your project. What you maintain there you don't have to enter again, we keep the content in sync.
Destination.one
POIs, tours and restaurants, including opening hours, can be imported directly.
YouTube
Data-efficient video embedding in chapters; ‘no-cookie’ mode by default.
Cal.com
Book appointments and tours directly from a POI section, including via Google Appointment Schedules and other tools that support embedding.
Website import
We automatically adopt the colour schemes and favicon from your existing website and use them to build your corporate identity, which you can then customise as required.
iFrame embedding
External widgets, maps and donation tools can be embedded anywhere. If there is a secure URL, it goes in this section.
Calendly
Book guided tours and consultation slots directly within the POI section, without having to go via the website.
Newsletter subscription
Registration forms for events and updates, integrated with your existing newsletter service.
Events calendar (ICS)
The event calendar from your organisation is automatically displayed in the app, and dates remain synchronised.
OpenStreetMap
Walking routes, points of interest and maps from Open Data, with no additional costs for proprietary mapping services.
Social media integration
Recent posts from Instagram and Facebook organised into sections, without having to enter everything twice.
Can’t see your system listed? As long as there is a documented interface or a regular export function, we can integrate it. Just let us know what you’re using.
Create your first place of interest.
Drop a pin on the map, add your text, click the building blocks you want: your station appears in the mobile preview straight away. It takes barely two minutes and works right in the browser, with no registration and no email address.
Give us a call, and we can sort out a lot of things in five minutes. Or drop us a line to let us know what you’re planning, and we’ll get back to you with our assessment.
